Jarrow Tyne and Wear
Jarrow Tyne and Wear. A monastery dating from 681 and now a ruin, sited near St Paul´s Church, was a religious centre in Anglo-Saxon times. In the 1930´s Jarrow became famous due to the Jarrow Hunger March.
