PlaceNames is a directory and list of all 46,000 villages, towns and cities in the UK.
It also includes some former and existing villages that have been incorporated into towns and cities that one would normally think of as areas or districts. Some industrial estates are also included.
About PlaceNames – The Owner
My name is Michael and I am the creator of PlaceNames.me
The website is aimed to be a fun, informational and friendly website.
In addition there is an option for both individuals and independent business owners.
With a great interest in geography the website started as just that, an interest, and as a means to continued learning.
It later became apparent that there was scope to do more. So developed the option of being able to help others.
Namely – Business Owners with low cost advertising and a Refer and Earn opportunity for individuals if they want it.
I am the holder of a Master’s Degree in Employment Relations from a leading UK University. Also a Post Graduate Research Diploma in Job Satisfaction and Motivation and other qualifications.
I’ve been involved and am involved with various charitable organizations and given talks to various groups both professionally and socially.
In a sporting capacity I have competed at UK County level.
In both a professional and sporting capacity I have represented the United Kingdom abroad.
It is not money or status but the way people are treated and attitude to life that defines me.
I am delighted to bring this website to you.
